How is LabSim provided?
- LabSim is supplied on DVD as a self-paced home-learning product.
- Online activation is required for each student as they have to create an account on our secure server
- LabSim enables students to study anytime, anywhere with progress and results recorded to our server when connected to the internet
- The student can use the LabSim DVD on any computer anywhere in the world, as long as an internet connection is made to our portal at least every 21 days
- Instructor reporting tools enable student progress to be monitored
Can I use my license for more than one person?
No. Each course or library is licensed for a single user; meaning that it can only be used by one individual. Our courses are not transferable nor are they resalable. Additional licenses can be purchased at a discounted price when more than one individual needs to use the software.
Can the LabSim products be loaded on more than one computer?
Yes. Each course is licensed to one user, but for convenience can be loaded on up to three separate machines. Contact customer service if you need access through more computers.
What is the minimum spec of the machine required?

Do I need Internet access to use LabSim?
LabSim requires an Internet connection at least every 21 days. This provides access to a wide range of tools including:
- Robust Reports - track your progress and evaluate your performance from anywhere in the world
- User Groups - connect to other LabSim users to help you succeed with your training
- Automatic Updates - get the latest content and features as soon as they are released
The Internet connection allows reports to generate in your complimentary Portal account. This account provides the ability to track progress, scores, and time spent using the software.
Is there an expiration date on LabSim products?
Yes. Each LabSim DVD must be activated within 12 months of purchase date and the course must be completed within 12 months of activation. At the end of the year, unless renewed, the student account is deleted and they will be unable to access
the navigation tools.
The LabSim Complete Certification Library extends the period to 24 months for activation and 24 months for completing all courses.
How long does it take to complete a course?
On average each course requires approximately 30-40 hours to complete. LabSim self-study courses allow each individual to learn at his or her own pace.
Do I need to purchase any additional components to accompany the training?
No. The LabSim training provides complete course instruction, hands-on labs, and certification testprep questions; all of which provide you a complete training experience. The only component that is not included with LabSim are the certification exams that must be purchased from your local Prometric or Vue testing centre.

What is the exam success rate with LabSim?
A recent survey in the US has shown that 86% of students, who have studied for vendor-led
certification exams, passed first time!
How is a student’s progress tracked?
Instructor and administrator accounts can be set up on our server. As students progress through
their course, their test results and exercise activity are recorded to our secure server. The
instructor can log on to their account to check latest progress and generate student, class or
school-level reports.
How many questions are included with ExamSim?
Approximately 200 questions per course are provided. In practice mode, the questions are drawn
randomly from the question pool. The answers are also randomized in multiple-choice format to
ensure the student gets a unique test each time they take it. In self-study mode, every question in
the pool is presented.
Can a student study at home?
Yes. Provided they are able to connect to the Internet at least every 21 days, students can use their LabSim DVD on any computer anywhere in the world.
How do I take a certification exam?
When you think you have learned and practised the material sufficiently, you can book a time to take the test.
The cost of the certification exams is not included with your LabSim product. Two commercial organisations currently administer certification exams such as CompTIA A+ or for MCSE. You can register your place at a convenient local test centre directly with Vue or Prometric and use the exam booking wizards.
What is the recommended sequence to follow with the LabSim Library?
The LabSim Library of Certification Suites contains 22 titles that go from basic, entry-level training to very high-level network administration concepts. In order to help you get through all of the LabSim Suites in a logical progression, we recommend that you take your certification training in the following sequence:
